Sprinkler System FAQ’s - SteepleChase Complete Turf & Irrigation

How will I know what type of sprinkler systems in NJ will best fit my needs?

The best way to ensure that your system will meet your specific needs is to meet with one of our representatives. Our professional irrigation technicians are highly knowledgeable about factors such as water pressures, water supply, soil types, and weather conditions, and this expertise, mixed with your specific requirements, will ensure that the system we install will be the best for your site.

How long will the installation take?

On average, our crews can complete a sprinkler installation in one day while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Will the system be guaranteed?

Yes. We guarantee our installation and parts for a full 5 years after the date of installation. Our system installation also includes one year of free spring start-up and winterization services.

Will the installation damage my existing landscaping?

We will work diligently to ensure that your existing landscaping is not damaged any more than necessary during the installation process. We make it a priority to make certain that your yard will be restored quickly and neatly following the installation of your sprinkler system.

How much water does a sprinkler head put out?

The amount of water a sprinkler head puts out varies depending on many factors. As a rule, our systems are designed to put out the maximum amount of water in the shortest time possible.

Will the system help to limit water consumption in any way?

Yes. Our systems are designed with the most efficient sprinkler nozzles available to ensure that there is no wasted water. Also, your watering times can be adjusted to minimize any runoff, wind drift, or evaporation.

Will the sprinkler system automatically turn off if it is raining?

Yes. Our systems are installed with a Solar Sync sensor that will stop the electrical current from turning on the irrigation system during rainy periods.

Are all sprinkler heads alike?

No. Rotary heads cover larger areas while spray heads are used for smaller areas. The two should not be zoned together.
